Practical advices coming from real experience. A must have!
Beth is really candid in her advice, and I love it. Paper heats isn't a textbook on publishing, it's more like a one on one conversation.
This book is a key resource for writers, starting with deciding between traditional and self-publishing all the way through launching a book. I think her information on the querying process is so real compared to other snippets out there, and I used her methods for querying with great success! I only wish she covered the submission process, since that's a lengthy step between querying and getting a publishing contract that causes a lot of anxiety, but I'm assuming its omission is because the submission process is mostly a bunch of waiting.
I highly recommend this whole series for anyone writing with intent to publish.

I've read countless books about writing and publishing, and I think this is one of the best. It's frank, easy to understand, and filled with information from an author's perspective. I would consider it a wise read for anyone interested in publication, be it traditional or self.
